What a quick week this was with Veteran's Day in the middle of the week. The students shared all the enjoyable activities they did that day. Fun, fun!
Here's a glimpse of our week.
- We finished unit 2 in math and took our assessment on Friday. The assessment covered multiplication, division, powers of ten, exponential notation, interpreting remainders as well as measurement conversions. We are onto adding and subtracting fractions in Unit 3!
- Our narrative writing unit is almost complete. Students are in the process of editing and revising their piece and then are putting it into an Animoto.
- Book clubs are continuing through next week.
- In Science, the students have worked on blood flow. Next week, they will begin a stem project taking on the role of an engineer.
- In Social Studies, we've looked at push and pull reasons for Europeans coming to the Americas. We also look at Hernando Cortes and his brutal attack on the Native Americans and Aztec Empire.
The SAU16 Thanksgiving Basket is coming along nicely! Mrs. Lankler will be coming in next Friday to gather up all the supplies. THANK YOU to everyone for your kindness and generosity!
In preparation for a Thanksgiving craft, we would appreciate if you have any of these supplies at home to donate to 5D/5H.

One last reminder, EARLY RELEASE on 11/18. Thanksgiving break starts on Wednesday, 11/25.
