Week of February 11-15

Happy Weekend to all of you!

We had the Museum of Science come in on Monday for an amazing MATTER presentation!  The students asked so many great questions that the presenter went off the cuff to try a few experiments!  Way to go fifth graders!

 Colonization in Social Studies

The students have been working hard in Colonization to  build a 3D version of their colony using green slipped earned.  It's been a great unit of learning with daily events.  This unit is wrapping up before vacation.

World Changers

Kids are creating books on Mixbook using their research from literacy.  These books will be done before vacation and you are welcome to order one for $10.  The books are really impressive so far.

Math

Our review of fractions unit is almost complete!  We will be moving onto adding and subtracting with same and different denominators after vacation!

This time is flying!  We only have one week left until February vacation!

Enjoy your weekend!
